At the Fillmore County DAC in Preston, MN we are currently seeking Employment Support Professionals to join our team! As an Employment Support Professional you will have the exciting opportunity to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities in need of employment guidance and support. We currently have flexible full-time hours, no nights, weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities:

Employment Support Professionals are responsible for providing on-the-job training and coaching for individuals with disabilities in the community to become as independent as possible in their community jobs.

The Employment Support Professional will train individuals in learning specific job tasks, assessing their progress and developing goals and interventions to maximize independence.

Facilitate development of individuals’ natural supports at work.

Provide transportation services as needed. The DAC will provide the vehicle.

This position is independent and requires effective problem solving, communication and relationship building with individuals and employers.

Requirements:

Experience working with persons with disabilities in a community setting preferred.
Organizational and time management skills.
Good customer service skills.
Comply with and pass Department of Human Services (DHS) background check (Rule 11), which may include fingerprinting.
Have a valid driver license.
Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
